A typographic poster to promote International Literacy Day 2008.

Each country's area is made up from its literacy percentage. The paths are expanded for the more illiterate countries, and the type becomes more illegible. This reflects the literacy rate of that country.

International Literacy Day is about highlighting the problem areas, but also about celebrating the improvement in literacy rates which the world has seen over recent years.
